I thought I’d share a post about a spiffy little product that I discovered called, Kind Notes. I stumbled across this brilliant idea when I was looking for a gift for my grandmother who lives across the country from me, in Illinois. It immediately piqued my interest because of a little tradition that I do every time I visit my grandma: Each time before I leave, I hide little notes that say, “I love you” all over her house. I got the idea from my grandfather, who used to do the same thing before he passed away some 27 years ago. In this very small action, I carry on a loving memory and cheer up my grandma each time she finds a note. Needless to say, Kind Notes was absolutely the perfect gift for my grandma. In fact, every time I talk to her she still tells me how much she loves the gift and the little notes I wrote to her. She even still tells my parents every day when they call.
This little glass jar full of beautiful envelopes and sweet notes is sure to touch the heart of any recipient. They come in a variety of styles (my personal favorite is the airmail design), and you can get them in a glass jar, a tin box, or just buy additional notes if you already have one or the other. The envelopes are very well made out of decorative linen cardstock and come with little pieces of paper that you can write on. (They also have the option of preprinted messages, but that’s not nearly as fun.) Essentially, you write sweet or uplifting notes, put them in envelopes, then the jar, and your loved one picks out a tiny little letter from you every day of the month. Once they have all been opened, the recipient can mix them up and put them back in the jar and start all over again.
This thoughtful gift is perfect for anyone who has a long distance relationship, family members who live far away, college students, or truly, anyone you want to make feel loved whether they live far away or in the same house. I assure you that these little notes with their deluxe envelopes will brighten anyone’s day. If you think Kind Notes is perfect for someone you know, you can find them here, or I actually ordered mine from Amazon here (because I’m a Prime addict…).
Behind the scenes tip: Make a list of your messages before you write them on the note cards so that you can proofread and make sure there aren’t any duplicates. Also, the gift will mean much more if you make them personal, sweet, and uplifting. Remember, this is a gift from the heart.
