mudslide beverageYou know what pairs nicely with summer?  (No wait, before we go dreaming of the beach, I was mostly talking about food.)  Ice cream!  (That’s where I was trying to go with that…)  Well, today I’m going to tell you how to upgrade your ice cream into an adult beverage delight: the mudslide.  There are lots of different approaches to create this popular frozen drink, but I’m going to share how to make the best mudslide EVER (in my humble opinion anyway).  And you certainly won’t find me using words like “blended ice” or “Kahlúa” either, haha.  Nope, this recipe calls for only the best, which includes Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream and Baileys Irish Cream liqueur.  (Yeah, I’m mostly in it for the ice cream.)  So, let’s make the ultimate adult milkshake…

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 1/4 cup of Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur
  • Whip Cream (the real stuff like Reddi Wip)
  • Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Syrup
  • Pirouette Chocolate Fudge Cookies (by Pepperidge Farm)

Directions:

Scoop 2 cups of Breyers ice cream into a measuring pitcher.  Be sure to pack it in so you get the most out of your ice cream portions, haha.  Add 1/4 cup of Baileys and mix thoroughly (with a spoon) until all the lumps are gone.  Then place the mudslide mixture back in the freezer for approximately 15 minutes.  When the 15 minutes is nearly up, ready your drinkware with chocolate swirls by squirting chocolate syrup on the inside of your glass and spinning it slowly as you go.  Pour the mudslide mixture into your, now fancy, glass.  Top with whip cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.  Last but not least, garnish with a pirouette cookie.  Enjoy with a spoon or straw!
