Yeah, okay… not THOSE kinds of mushrooms, haha. So, last year I discovered Rasa and started drinking what Kendall superciliously (in the most loving way) refers to as “hippie tea.” Pay no attention to his snide remarks though. Rasa is this awesomely fun company that offers a healthy alternative to coffee. It’s a bit wild. They have managed to make tea (with all sorts of good-for-you things in it) taste like coffee.
Don’t get me wrong, I haven’t kicked my coffee habit to the curb (because we go waaaaay back), but I probably could if I wanted to with this tasty substitute. As it happened, I took their online quiz to see which blend was the best fit for my lifestyle and tastebuds. I wasn’t terribly surprised when they suggested that I try their blend called, Calm (also known as their chill tonic). Go figure; even the internet thinks I’m too stressed out. I decided to give it a try – because when it comes to chillaxing, I can use all the help I can get.
I’m here to tell you that those adaptogens, herbs, mushrooms, and whatever other magic they put into their non-coffee is pretty dang yummy. I’ve been enjoying my cup of Calm every evening before bed and I love the taste as well as the little cozy ritual it provides before I call it a night. If you’re wondering if it actually improves my stress levels, I think it does. (The anxiety medication helps the most though.)
Interested in trying it out? Use this handy-dandy, refer-a-friend code (RACHEL23389) to score 15% off your first purchase. I definitely recommend the Calm blend, but if you’re looking for an actual coffee substitute and wish to kick your caffeine habit, I understand that their Bold blend is the most coffee-like. It also provides an energy boost, whereas Calm is meant to enjoy in the afternoons and evenings.
So, sip, sip hooray! Here’s to some excellent “hippie tea” haha.
PS: If you decide to check it out and see the French press instructions and think, “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” – no worries. I brew my cups of Rasa with a refillable k-cup in my Keurig (because same!).
PPS: They also offer a 30-day money back guarantee, which I utilized when I discovered I wasn’t crazy about the Cacao blend.
🙂
