This gratitude pumpkin activity is super easy and fabulous – for kiddos AND adults. I’m loving this project and all of its potential! Read on, it’s easy as pie…
Simply take a white pumpkin (fake or real) and use a permanent marker to write down all the things you are thankful for. Easy-peasy, right?!! Or you can get extra elaborate and decorate it with drawings, fancy penmanship, different color markers (Sharpies come in all sorts of colors, including gold and sliver), or just personalize it however you darn well please. Once finished, you will have a super meaningful decoration for your table, porch, or anywhere else you want to spruce up for the season.
The perk of using a real pumpkin is that you don’t have to worry about yet another decoration to store away (maybe take pictures though). Because goodness knows, I don’t need more stuff in my house or decorations to topple on my head when I rummage through the closet, ha. Although, on the flip side, if you don’t mind stowing away decorations, you could start a cute collection of fake pumpkins for every year. Hmmm… something to think about. Either way, I really think this would be a super fun, family activity and tradition to start. Everyone could make their own pumpkin, or you could get one giant one for everyone to write on. The possibilities are endless…!
PS: I’d just like to note that “mommy and daddy” did make an appearance on Olivia’s pumpkin – though not as exuberantly as “pizza” did, hahaha. I feel like I should be able to circle our “names” or draw an arrow or something, ha. 🙂
