One of the things I love about my hubby’s family is that they are all excellent cooks. (Of course, they’re awesome in other ways too!) And my sis-in-law makes a bang’n fruit pizza. It’s my favorite. And little does she know, I send her subconscious vibes to bring it to various family get-togethers (and it totally works, ha!).
If you want to be the popular one at the next family shindig, try bringing this oh-so-tasty fruit pizza. I assure you; it’ll be a hit. (And you can even sort of congratulate yourself on eating fruit with your dessert…)
Ingredients:
- 2 tubes of Pillsbury sugar cookie, refrigerated cookie dough
- 2 packs cream cheese (softened)
- I box powdered sugar (16 oz.)
- 1 stick of butter (softened)
- 2 cans crushed pineapple
- Strawberries (sliced)
- Kiwi (sliced)
Directions:
First, let the cookie dough soften and press into large (greased) cookie sheet. Next, cook per package directions until golden, and let cool. Then, mix cream cheese and butter until creamy then add powdered sugar. Spread the icing mix over the cookie. Last, add pineapple and sliced strawberries and kiwi “to taste.” * Strawberries and blueberries on top are yummy too.
PS: If you want to go all-out and make your own sugar cookie crust from scratch, here’s a yummy recipe for that.
