Shadows shift as darkness grows
Fear and hate it ever sews
Despair begins to settle in
Hope is lost and starts to dim
But in the ruins shines a light
For faith and love will soon unite
Kindness whispers, “string your star”
Compassion abounds near and far
Spirits renewed, radiantly shine
Through the din, evil, grit and grime
About this piece… Every now and then I like to play with words and pair it with my artwork. I call these “non-poems” because I don’t believe they actually follow any of the classical rules. Art is a beautiful way of expressing our thoughts and feelings; and everyone experiences it differently, as our interpretations are as unique as we are. It is my hope that this speaks to you, and encourages the world to be a kinder place. Be a light, and don’t forget to shine like the radiant soul that you are.
