You know that antsy sensation you get when you feel like an adventure of some kind, but don’t know what to do? Or you simply just need to get out of the dang house for entertainment purposes, instead of running errands? Well, I’ve got just the thing for you. I discovered this super amazing company and app that has a wide variety of adventures that you can access right from your phone. It’s called: Let’s Roam.
There is so much fun packed into this app. They have scavenger hunts specific to different cities, ones you can do at home, hunts for birthday and bachelorette parties, team building activities, ghost hunts, bar crawls, date night packages, and even virtual game nights. I have a huge affinity for scavenger hunts so I was immediately hooked.
Thrilled with this new discovery, I recruited my cousin and her hubby to join me on a scavenger hunt in downtown St. Louis, MO, during one of our visits there. We had such a blast! The hunt led us on a walking tour, if you will, through downtown where we followed the challenges to various locations and learned some fun history in the process. All three of us were thrilled with our excursion and experience. In fact, we were like a bunch of kids and super excited about the whole thing. And of course, I took lots of pictures, haha.
If this sounds like it’s right up your alley, I highly recommend checking it out. The tickets aren’t very expensive and the activities are a blast. And unless they changed it, I would say that you really only need one person per team (if you split up) with the scavenger hunt and app on their phone (though they do suggest that everyone have it). Also, I recommend that if you decide to pick a city location scavenger hunt, to be safe and aware of your surroundings (which is just common sense, but still).
Anyway, I wanted to share this easy and awesome way to adventure. Happy hunting! Let me know how you love it.
PS: I can vouch that doing a scavenger hunt in downtown St. Louis is much more enjoyable during the winter since the summer months tend to be scorchers. However, this is definitely a fun adventure in any season.
