I actually came up with this idea for our Girl Scout troop and decided it might be fun to share on the blog as well. This is a super simple little craft that can be done in a matter of minutes, and is sure to delight folks of all ages.
Make these adorable Little Cheers to pass out to family, friends, nursing home residents, military families, neighbors, or anyone you would like to share a smile with and spread some cheer.
Materials Needed:
- Pom poms
- Googly eyes
- Pipe cleaner
- Ribbon or bow stickers
- Printer and paper
- Craft glue
- Hot glue and glue gun
- Scissors
To Make:
Measure your pipe cleaner and cut it into four-inch segments. Take one of your cut pieces and make a circle with it, twisting the end pieces closed. Then, pinch the circle together and bend the loops forward to make the feet. Use a hot glue gun to secure the pom pom to the pipe cleaner feet you just made. (Careful, those things get hot!) Once it has cooled, use craft glue to add googly eyes and a bow. (I was working with young kiddos so we used a bow sticker.) Next, print this and cut out the little slips of paper to accompany the Little Cheers when gifting.
And voilà! Hope you have fun crafting, and that you spread some cheer!
