A Delightfully Delicious Dessert
Invite me to a party and feed me something tasty, and you run the risk of my pestering you for the recipe… This is precisely what happened with this ridiculously yummy pie. In fact, I took a second piece on pretenses of wanting to take a picture of it for this post. Ah… the sacrifices I make to research recipes for my lovely readers… haha!
Seriously though, this pie is amazing and perfect for your next get-together. (I speak from experience.) And if I’m on the invite list, I highly recommend you make two (wink, wink).
Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup soft butter
- 1 (8 oz) cream cheese
- 2 small containers (8 oz) Cool Whip
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 packages of 3 oz instant butterscotch pudding
- 3 cups of milk
- Shaved coconut to garnish
Directions:
First, mix the flour, pecans, and soft butter together and press into pie pan to form a crust. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Then let cool. Next, mix cream cheese, one small container of Cool Whip and the powdered sugar together. Once it’s well mixed, apply it gently on top of the cooled crust. For the next layer, mix the milk and pudding together and then spread it over the cream cheese mixture. Last, top the pie with Cool Whip from the second container and sprinkle shaved coconut to taste. (Or leave off the coconut because that sounds way better.)
PS: I won’t truly harass you for a recipe. I’m actually a very polite and fun party guest. And sometimes I’m even entertaining if there happens to be alcohol and music involved, because you get to bust out laughing while I bust a move.
🙂
