I’ve been known to abruptly veer off the road when driving because I’ve suddenly seen a great photo op. If you’ve ever ridden with me, you’ve probably experienced this puzzling behavior. I admit that it can be a bit alarming. (Although apparently my whole driving style has been described as “frightening,” so there’s that… Haha!) To my great delight, I passed this field of sunflowers the other day, prompting me to make one of those aforementioned detours.
My passenger at the time was less than impressed with my unexpected decision to stop, but I was thrilled. I absolutely love sunflowers!! They simply make me happy. And whole fields of them? Well, I can get downright giddy. Maybe it’s silly, but frankly, I don’t care. I am very easily amused, and relish the little things in life. It’s a good way to be.
