Hang on; I blinked… The year’s almost over already?
As the new year looms ever closer, are you brainstorming on your resolutions? I have to admit; I rarely ever make them. It’s odd because I love setting and working towards goals, but I guess since I do that already, I’m not keen on adding more to my plate. Long ago, I decided that I was a constant work in progress (like, a big one, ha!) and I make a daily conscious effort to strive to be the best version of myself. I simply do the best I can… (Some days I rock it, and other days I tank.)
I like to think of this time as a point of pause before leaping headlong into a new year. It’s a brief moment in which we all seem to hold space and take stock of our lives, both personal and professional – to think about what changes we can make and what we can improve upon. And of course, a great tool to use for this sort of mindful consideration, is your journal. You can make lists, take note of thoughts, memories, dreams and goals, or write a stream-of-consciousness and let your words flow onto paper. Heck, you could make it a ritual to burn your old journal and start a new one each January. Whatever floats your boat.
Regardless of how you decide to spend the last little bit of this year and celebrate the new one, I wish you blessings beyond measure and blissful happiness.
